I’m easily impressed…
Decided I won’t life a finger, just let everything download.. I know eventually I’ll be able to get back onto steam and play me games.

Imagine arriving in a world with nothing but your sound body and cheerful soul, waking up to no television, computers, motor vehicles and everything we all take for granted and you’re complete free to do as you like, build and destroy any and all parts of the world without government, no politicians, power hungry law enforcers or local councillors to tell us what to do, how to do nor torment us with tons of red-tape. How about imaging you paying no tax.

Imagine living on a planet that’s carefree, completely safe so long as there’s sunlight to guide you as you work, mine, have fun whilst you build your ideal home. Sound interesting?

Over the years I’ve seen lots of people getting into construction trade without any formal training or qualifications to back up their skills or knowledge. In the past I have wondered why is it soo important for people to obtain those qualifications. To be honest with you, up to now I ain’t being interested in the industry but recently things have changed.. I know, I once said “I’m never ever gonna get into slave labour” but on this occasion there’s gonna be an  exception. Yeah, OK. I know! So many of them ‘cowboy builders’ have been caught with their pants down for ripping people off!! But this, this is different… My services are not for hire and all the materials I’m using, I made them myself. They’re not stolen!!!

First off, I tried my hand at grafting, getting my hands dirty, making them less silky, even develop the odd blister! Caught one hella of an annoying tan, whilst showing the world my builder’s bum, not to mention working hard becoming hot and sweaty in the process. I’ve even started mining the land in search of useful resources, minerals, rare metals, still hoping to find some gold or perhaps chunks of uncut diamonds.

For once in my life, I’ve even tried exercising my creative ‘do it yourself’ skills for a simple self-build, here in the UK it’s becoming real fashionable.. From watching TV there’s nothing to it,  it’s all a matter of finding some spare land, shooting all the animals and killing off all the locals. Doesn’t take much before you’ve got your land and no-one to kick you off!

Due to the time constraints, on my first attempt I’ve dug myself a little cave blocked myself in and totally forgotten the lanterns. Waited for darn to arrive then attempted to dig myself out, only I miss calculated and fell through the floor resulting in death!

So far I’ve built a little hut, it’s not much..  to help keep in budget, lay down shallow foundations or in my case, non at all! Well, it’s ‘eco’ init.. cost cutting, saves materials.. I’ve even done away with any building regulations, ain’t even bothered to visit the local land registry. I’m hoping no-one notices as I build my dream palace… Perhaps I can claim it’s being there for a while… Meh… Like everyone else, all I want is a home, some place I can rest my soul without being eaten alive!! Is it too much to ask?

Over the weeks I’ve learnt many new skills including the importance of logging. For any tree huggers out there, I really don’t understand the concept of letting them be, it’s absolutely useless keeping trees growing in the forest when they could be a part of a couch or a bed, or form part of my home!! And despite my usual beliefs, I’ve even slaughtered wild animals caught trespassing in the fields which would other wise be my garden

Meanwhile my mate Graeme has gone completely mad, gone are the days he’s building homes and farming the land for food. He’s worked out how to build mechanical structures, pixelated semi-automatic doors with the hopes of crushing uninvited guests. Virtual trains tracks with trolleys that require human interaction before they’ll start to roll…

Oh, Did I mention he’s also building bloody insanely huge mansions on tall stone pillars with rooms made outta glass? I wonder did anyone tell him that using TNT in a glass house will shatter? Oops! Too late!
