Recently in Chinese Category

Once upon a time I used to think Chinese toys are poorly made because they're produced by an unskilled labour force that lacked extensive experience but ever since their economic boom they have absolutely tons of experience to sort everything out; some companies even have foreign guidance as a joint venture from international companies. Then today, I was searching the net for further information regarding my recently post (modern chinese building materials) and kinda came across some shocking discoveries.

Early yesterday a friend sent me an interesting link,
he though I'd be interested in it's content.. and clicking in the thing,
I discovered he was soo damn correct!!

Apparently when building a home in China; all you really need is:

1. unskilled labour (invalids are ok)
2. a plot of wasteland
3. Styrofoam, loads of commercial and domestic waste
4. cheap cement or better yet, raw sewage

Now, in the past I've never been one to think the brand "Made in China" meant a quality product. Actually, from personal experience Chinese made products had always meant something cheaply produced, often made with inexperience shoddy workmanship; fact, anything with "made in china" meant nothing more than a toy, crappy gimmick!! Just never really thought it'll expand to the point of actual construction.. But a few years ago whilst in Hong Kong, the news changed all of that!


The story of an entire building toppling over, hitting the ground and staying in one piece was enough to make me think twice.. all caused by some simply second rate construction company digging it's foundations a little too shallow!! When I said shallow, I meant no deeper than the height of a person!!

Dunno what the fuck they're thinking, every once in a while,I hear of soo many westerners wanting to goto china to make their fortunes.

Modern day China, in my opinion is just made of crap...

The stuff you and I dispose off. They're not recycled in any shape or form, often just shoved into the wall, whilst still inside the bag they're held and cemented over!! I'd be damn surprised if they don't use human faeces as a form of cement... wait, I won't say any more, might give them more cost cutting ideas..

Everyday China goes from bad to worst... what the fuck next? (er.. actually, I don't wanna know.) Before I start... Let me ask you. Do you still have food in your cupboard that's a "Produce of China" ?

So far this year we've already seen their ingenious ways of adding poisonous anti-freeze in various stuff, which are all for consuming. What were they thinking? Then there's the cleaver storing cooking oil in crude oil drums, and reusing waste oil for cooking.. Yes cooking!! Still fancy a chinky tonight?

I guess this is the one time in the year were I try to unite, put away our differences (or maybe my differences) and have peace for a few days. So, too all my chinese compagres. hehe... ... I'll wish you folks - Gong Xi Fa Cai or Kung Hei Fat Choi!! I won't be mentioning much else about it. Cause it happens every fucking year!

Many others will be too busy meeting friends and family, thinking about chilling out as they have a ten day vacation from work... Yes.. the chinese take this period very seriously and they'll stop for work to celebrate the coming of the New Year with their family, they'd be too busy to be worried about what's happening on the net, never mind their net-friends.

I know many westerns will be writing stuff about the history of chinese people and the Lunar New Year, since they've just discovered it. Doh!!! What took you so long?

As for me, yet another fucking year has past and looking back on it, this year's been pretty good. I finally visited Japan and seen the sun rise on the far side of the orient. Though my home.. well, let say I didn't tidy up and it's still just as messy, if not messier!

・poor quality
・substandard / unsafe / doesn't comply to any standards
・imitation / fake 〜 lots of them
・patent theft
・copyright theft

PRODUCTION OF CONSUMABLES AND FOOD PRODUCTS :
・produce dangerous foods,
・use harmful chemicals as an cheap alternative 〜 (replace table salt for industrial salts etc.)
・use substandard ingredients to cut costs
・imitation / fake products 〜 (soya sauce made from colouring + artificial flavorings)
・re-badge expired goods, for re-sale

Everyday I learn something about my oldes, today it's no different. It's taken sometime but deep inside me there's this growing rage, feeling of hatred and general dislike for them. Shit! I tell a lie - I fucking hate them especially all the chinese historical bull-shit they come out with. What do they wanna do? Brainwash me into thinking that the chinese (it in lower case cause i don't think they're important) are the best? Fuck are they!

Have you ever tried to get a group of chinese people to organize itself for a meeting or so other social event? Hell! A group of chimpanzees can organize a field trip to the zoo better! Period. First someone will set a date and location, then some fucker will come along and say they can't make it.. so the date will change.. then the location will change too.. before you know it, the meeting is running late, still no fixed date or location - great huh?

Hi folks.

Kinda been window shopping of late, looking for a cute, solid-state MP3 player. One that contains no moving parts (no hard drive) cause I always see to drop them or they just fail on me... and there are tons to choose from! Most of them are similar to Sony's pebble thought with less ergonomic qualities, with annoying pokey out plastic knobs.. why? and other's are just huge metal brick like structures (iPods and Creative alike). Eventually I came across this rather cool looking cube thing.. less than a inch square (smaller than the tip of my thumb) and show's no distinctive features. It's the cube or mobiblu manufactured by HyunWon, Inc. (yup it's korean)

How am I to know which product is the genuine artifact? or a cheap chink clone?

You'd think with all the ranting and raving about China joining the WTO, There'd be restrictions as to what they are and aren't allowed to do.. from where my stand point, I'm more weary about buying electrical goods than I ever was. China's well know for doing nothing but make cheap clones of everyone else's product... Just think.. next time your iPod dies.. just think.. maybe it's actually an cheap clone you've brought, not an official.

When is China's government or the Corporate brands of the western manufacturing world (yes- that means are you fucking fat-cat CEOS) gonna force China to started preparing for patenting and copyright laws... if they make a clone and slap a cheap sticker on it.. it's your brand-name they're dragging through the mud.
