About UltraNEO*

Hi and welcome to my spot on the internet.

Name: Ultra Neo
(aka or UltraNEO* in games & elsewhere)

Age: (undisclosed)

From: Manchester, England.

Introduction

As far as I can remember I’ve always been interested in objects, especially noisy electronic gadgets, a toy or device that craves for attention by blinking or flashing it’s lights. I used to love things that interacted with me, do things under a command, instruction or perhaps simple codes, give readouts as a response etc..

However, it wasn’t ever the playful side that arouse the curiosity, to me, it didn’t matter if they’re powered or clockwork; they’ll soon end up in bits whilst I discovered their inner workings. I’ve never the child whom adorned soft gifts or stuffed animals; those were usually cast aside, left unloved awaiting hungry moths.

As I grew older family members used to tell me horror stories on how everything they’d purchased seasonal gifts but would never stay in one piece for long. Apparently my toy-box used to contain more spares parts than actual complete working units.. Looking back I do have some regrets, mostly of some them toys are now become relics and collectables today.

Now I’m an adult, nothing has really changed. I still adore my toys and gadgets, they’re still dismantled however, they’re no longer broken intentionally, destroyed or damaged in any shape or form. Instead they’re simply opened to be examined purely to satisfy one’s curiosity, then reassembled to a ‘like new’ state. From all my experience, I’ve learnt and perfected (on many levels) how to break into, take-apart or simply disassemble just about anything without causing any physical damage. Moulded clips, custom screws or fragile security labels don’t seem to curb my curiosity as there is always a suitable tool or solvent for the purpose.

Interests:
Besides being into both film and digital photography, videography, animation including special effects, art & crafts and the occasional bit of architectural modelling. I’m one major fan of technology, to the point of being an enthusiast, craving the next big thing!! Interested in the latest gadgetry whether they’re professional goodies, presumer or consumer gadgets or electronic toys designed for adults.

Occasionally I’ll experiment with electronics, design and build circuits on breadboards other times I’ll attempt to fix, repair or improve something. Most of all, I love building building systems for myself and friends often powered with state of the arts technology. Given the time and the flexibility I’d then attempt to over-clock them squeezing that extra bit more performance out of my/our investment!

Unlike so many, I’m non-platform specific, happy to tinker with various operating system be it MacOS, Linux, Windows or Android. Flashing, tweaking hand-held devices, learning to ride a motorcycles and whatever else that’ll offer an adrenaline fix – Yeah I’m addictive sport but someone gotta have fun!! Right?

Entertainment

Games:
I enjoy playing challenging computer games both on my awesome PC and various other consoles. I’m not really all that fussed with any particular genre so long as they’re well built (preferably stable), contains phenomenal graphics, awesome arsenal of usable weaponry and most importantly entertaining – If they’re addictive, so much the merrier!!!

Usually I play online multi-plays, first person shooters, both 2D and 3D platforms, the occasional subscription-free MMORPG. It’s great to play with friends but equally as fun with complete strangers!! Killing, maiming or fragging – they’re all part of the game, nothing personal – and generally having a laugh! LAN-Parties are great fun!! However with the dawn of DRM and heavy boxes, they’re slowing dying due to wide-spread high-speed internet connections.

Music:
Coming from a city famed for it’s music talent and football hooligans (joking), I figured this page wouldn’t be complete without a music section. So here’s what I enjoy.

Readings:
Mostly health related, particularly areas of food and nutrition, as I need to understand how I maintain a healthy balanced diet. Occasionally, I’ll engross myself with factual hardbacks covering topics such as criminology, electronics, physics and I’ll even swallow the odd science fiction novel.

Health

For far too long I never really taken much attention to who supplies my food until the day comes when you discover your hyper-sensitive to certain compounds.

Unlike a great many other people I know who’d buy whatever takes their fancy. I like to think I’m more the sensible type, only spend money on quality organic food producers who will guarantee their keep everything natural just like nature intended. I take food science fairly seriously, especially the areas of ‘diet & nutrition’.. Therefore, for health reasons beyond my control; I have chosen to adopt an organic vegan diet – All this means is I eat an plant based diet free from human intervention and unfair commercial factory profits.
